Amelia Mejia Coyne M.S.Ed BCBA
Owner/Clinical Director
Amelia has been working in the field of behavior analysis for over 15 years. She holds a Master of Science in Education and is certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She began her career as a teacher's assistant in a private ABA preschool in New York City while completing her graduate work in special education. Over the next 10 years, Amelia worked in public schools, pediatric therapy centers, clinics, and with in- home and community based therapy.
Amelia currently provides supervision and mentorship through Pinnacle and strives to promote joy and skill acquisition as the core of her mission. Amelia's goal is to provide a customized experience for trainees, as everyone has a different path and story. She has supervised trainees who are seasoned ABA practitioners, as well as career changers and ABA novices. In addition, Amelia works for a school district in Northern New Jersey as their District Behavior Analyst. She embraces the work of Dr. Greg Hanely, citing his research as a "turning point" in her career and using his procedures to inform her supervision approach.
Amelia resides in Northern New Jersey with her husband and two children. She enjoys hiking, dancing, trying new foods traveling, and spending time with family.
